All’s Well That End’s Well (but not that play)
May 31, 2009
Yesterday was a new experience for CCM Prep. We concluded a terrific project that involved several organizations. Partnerships are hard; if each partner is not cognizant of their role and responsibility, havoc can occur. If partners don’t do what is expected, bad things can happen. And finally, if there are not clear expectations and roles developed from the start, things may get really ugly.
And that’s what happened, or almost happened. The students were great troopers and performed admirably for an enthusiastic and supportive audience. We all left satisfied that what was most important – a high quality arts experience for children – happened.
So we learned the really hard way about partnerships and know what to do next time. And like all learning, you can read everything about it, but learning occurs in active time. And we sure exhibited it!
Kudos to all of us.
